June Board Report

Hi everyone!

This month has been a quiet month as we’ve all been busy with exams. I hope you’ve all had a successful exam period and good luck with all your results!

On the 31st of May, Kayla and I held the students service and amenities fee stall at City East.  It was great getting feedback from students with where they wanted their SSAF to be directed. If you have any other ideas re SSAF, we will be having another SSAF survey stall on the 27th of July and I hope to see as many of you there!

This past month Natansh and I also held our second student catch-up. We always love meeting students and discuss any issues or questions you have about life on campus. We will be back sometime in July (with cupcakes) in the student lounge, so feel free to drop by!

Regarding meetings, I’ve attended the monthly board meeting, finance meeting and the first welfare committee meeting this past month. Our main topic of discussion at the WCOM is the Uni Brekkie Bar, which is currently running on selective mornings at each campus. However, there are issues regarding funding, and we are now working on different options to keep Brekkie Bar open. So far, we are discussing the idea of either coming up with an entirely new model for Brekkie Bar or have an external provider. Our biggest concern as City East reps is student welfare and we want to make sure USASA is providing adequate services to assist with this. Our next WCOM will be on the 12th of July and we’ll report back our progress.
