Hi all, welcome to my final report for USASA! What an amazing two years it’s been (first as Magill Rep and then as President) and thank you to everyone who gave me the privilege of being a student representative and everything that came with it.
Please see my month below ~
We’ve finally made it to the last blog post of the year! I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas, and I wish you all a happy new year. As mentioned last month, I intend to keep this post quite short, so I am going to forgo the normal format of my posts and just speak about a couple of things.
One of the highlights of this month was attending the NUS National Conference at Deakin University’s Warun Ponds Campus. The conference was a productive one, and I enjoyed being able to advance the interests of students on a national level. I will be providing a comprehensive report back of the conference to the 2018 USASA board. For those of you who don’t know, I was elected to represent UniSA students as USASA’s Student President in 2018, so much of my time this month has been spent meeting members of staff, and preparing for 2018 so we can hit the ground running. I very much look forward to being able to continue to advocate for the interests of UniSA students next year, so with that said, I’ll see you all in 2018!
Wow its December already!
Hope everyone is enjoying their break. My highlight of December has been being part of the hiring panel for a full-time staff member in the Careers Team of UniSA. It was definitely an eye-opening experience and I learnt so much about the hiring process in the two days that I spent with the amazing panel members. As expected, everything was conducted professionally and we (especially me) were guided through the whole process. As a USASA Rep, my mind was focused on what the candidates could do for UniSA students and this helped me make decisions along the way.
Hello, is any one still here? I know – it’s almost Christmas so I wouldn’t expect anyone to be reading this as you all should be wrapping presents (for those of you that have actually done your Christmas shopping!!). But seeing as you’re here now, I thought this would be a good time to wrap up my activities for the year. Continue reading

I hope November hasn’t been too stressful with juggling final assessments, exams and planning further studies/career. My highlight of this month has been holding catch-up sessions with the City West Student Rep (Ryan Kennealy) at City West.
Free Toasties Catch-ups @ City West
After plenty of planning and discussions, City West Reps (Ryan and myself) organised our first free toasties catch-up for City West on Wednesday, 1st November 2017. Shout out to Donna for the amazing idea and to Daniel, Bridget, Tracy, the SEU team and FM Assist for helping us with this event.
Well done for completing your exams and all final assessment pieces. As you can see from the list of meetings below, I have been extremely busy this month, involving myself in a range of activities across the university. Let me run you through a few highlights from November. Continue reading

It is hard to believe that 2017 is fast coming to an end already. Well done to everyone who has finished their study for the year, you can all be proud of the hard work you’ve put in this year. I wish everyone all the best for the break, and for those of you returning next year I look forward to seeing you all on campus.
Now onto what I’ve been up this month:
USASA Board Meeting – 06/11/17
Our board meeting in the first week of November was very productive so I’ll touch briefly on some of the outcomes of that meeting. One of the standouts of this meeting was the board approving a new financial investment arrangement for USASA, which students will be able to see the benefits of over the next few years.
