Welcome back everyone! I hope you’ve enjoyed your eight week break or have taken advantage of the new Winter School to speed up your degree, do an industry placement or attend some personal development workshops. Continue reading
Compared to the last couple of months, June has been relatively quiet in my capacity as your USASA City West Representative. So, exactly what have I been up to? Continue reading
As we all get ready for exams, I’ve been busy working to improve student engagement across the university, as well as a focus on student wellbeing, particularly around mental health. Continue reading
It was an exciting beginning of the new month for the City West Campus Representatives-both Ryan and I, as we arranged the first ever student catch-up on the last day of March. I was eager to spend the month of April and rest of the term based on all the feedback we get from the catch-up. Those of you who couldn’t make it on our first catch-up, I am sure we will see you at the next one at the end of this month. This is your opportunity to shape your experience on your own campus.
March 30, 2017:
Student catch-up was held at the student lounge. We are expecting a lot more interaction with all of you in the next one.
For most of us at City West, we are getting close to the half way point through the semester and I hope your studies are going well. Don’t worry if you’re feeling a bit stressed out, as we have UniTopia coming up in May. Continue reading
Wow! 3 months in and so much is already happening. From Orientation to ClubsFest, it has been great to be out and about, meeting with students to hear the ideas you have which will make our campus a better place to study, work and play. Continue reading
I’d like to start off by thanking everyone at City West for electing me to be one of your Student Representatives in 2017. It will be an exciting twelve months in which we can create a better student experience for everyone at UniSA. Continue reading
It’s heading into week 6 of study period 5 now, so we’re sure many of you other undergrads are starting to feel things heating up; I (Josh) know I’m personally trying to conquer Financial Accounting 3!
I hope we’ve all survived this crazy winter weather, while still being able to enjoy the break in between study periods. I think the break serves as a good reality check and the perfect time to re-asses priorities, going into the second half of the year.
What have we been up to during June?
This month has been a pretty short month given a move up of the USASA Board meeting. However, we’ve still been quite busy working as your student representatives! Both of us, with the help of Kayla and Chris – the Magill Representatives – have started distributing the Food Truck survey for both our campuses via social media this month. This will be a great resource of data that we can use to help push our case for food trucks across the campuses and we’ve received quite a lot of great feedback so thank you! But, if you haven’t already seen the survey then check it out below.
