The month of October is always a busy period and everyone is preparing for assignments, exams and even USASA election period has begun. So many students this year are competing to become a board member with USASA. I have shared plenty of my experiences as a board member to many students this month and also motivated them to be actively engage with students.
The highlight of this month is that I was invited to a Health Forum organized by Nadira, Equity and Welfare officer of Flinders University Student Association (FUSA). The forum was held at “relationship Australia” and we had discussed main issue such as health and welfare of students coming from different background and culture. There were many issues especially for the international students, such as online gambling and sexual health topics as concerns. However, now we have initiated a new adventure of a team to tackling those issues. A few of our key partners involve the manager of “Relationship Australia”, Sarah- Study Adelaide student engagement officer and a few stakeholders.
